Books of Blood was shot in Halifax and Hants Counties in the Fall of 2019, and is supported through the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund.
Logline: Based on Clive Barker’s acclaimed and influential horror anthology BOOKS OF BLOOD, this feature takes audiences on a journey into uncharted and forbidden territory through three uncanny tales tangled in space and time.
Director: Brannon Braga, making his feature directorial debut - With an immensely successful career spanning almost three decades, Brannon Braga is a Peabody Award-winning and Emmy-nominated writer and producer that has established himself as one of the most revered genre television creators. He is perhaps best known for being one of the key creative forces of “Star Trek” franchise series, for which he wrote or co-wrote more episodes than any other writer and received an Emmy nomination. He went on to produce and direct the award-winning “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” which earned him a Peabody Award, PGA Award and two additional Emmy nominations, and created WGN America’s first-ever drama series “Salem.” He is currently an Executive Producer on the HULU and Emmy-nominated space adventure series “The Orville” and the upcoming installment to the Cosmos franchise “Cosmos: Possible Worlds.”
