#MaritimeMade presented by Eastlink is proudly supported by Invest Nova Scotia.
Today’s featured business is Gaspereau Valley Fibres.
For 25 years, Brenda Gilmour and her family have been at the heart of Nova Scotia’s fibre community with Gaspereau Valley Fibres. On their farm, they raise endangered Cotswold sheep, transforming their beautiful fleece into high-quality yarns for knitters, spinners, weavers, and felters.
Beyond their own flock, the shop features locally grown fibres, hand-dyed yarns, and supplies, from spinning wheels to looms. It’s more than a store, it’s a hub for creativity and learning, offering classes for all skill levels and keeping traditional skills alive while inspiring new makers.
Here’s to 25 years of craftsmanship, community, and fibre arts in the Gaspereau Valley!
