Join Invest Nova Scotia at Web Summit Vancouver, May 11-14, 2026, one of North America’s leading technology conferences. Participating companies will gain international exposure, connect with global investors and industry leaders, and explore new partnership and market expansion opportunities beyond Atlantic Canada.
Why participate?
This trade mission is designed to equip Nova Scotia start-ups with the knowledge, connections, and exposure needed to pursue international growth opportunities. Selected companies will be given access to:
- Full-access passes to all three days of the Web Summit Vancouver conference for up to two people on your team
- Your own branded exhibiting booth to showcase their innovation for one full day
- Networking events, investor meetings, mentor hours, and master classes during the conference
- A dedicated start-up success manager to help your start-up get the most out of the conference experience
- Pre- and post-mission virtual educational workshops to maximize your ROI. Topics include: Trade Mission Preparation, Investor-Readiness, Pitching in a Conference Environment, and the Art of Follow Up.
- In-market support to maximize business impact.
- Travel assistance of up to $1900.00 per person for up to two people.
Eligibility criteria
To apply, your start-up must:
- Be a Nova Scotia-registered business in good standing
- Have a permanent establishment in Nova Scotia
- Be a technology start-up with a live, launched product and interest in global expansion
- Not have previously participated in an Invest Nova Scotia trade mission to Collision Conference, Web Summit Vancouver, or Web Summit Lisbon
- Not have independently registered for Web Summit Vancouver 2026
- Start-up must be less than six (6) years old
- At the time of application start-up must at minimum be launched and live with their own working website
- Start-up must have their own unique software product or solution or they must be working on their own connected hardware devices.
- Start-up must have a logo available in Vector EPS format.
- Start-up must be their own independent company and not a subsidiary of a larger organization. Consultancies, agencies, developers, marketing/advertising agencies, public companies will not be accepted.

Download, complete, and submit the Web Summit Application Form using the link below. Completed Application Forms must be emailed to Valerie Caswell at valerie.caswell@investnovascotia.ca before the deadline.
The application deadline is Friday, March 20, 2026 at 5:00 PM ADT.
Space is limited to ten Nova Scotia companies. All applications will be reviewed for eligibility and applicants will be notified by March 27, 2026.
Participation fee*: $399.00 ($350.00 + $49.00 HST)
*Only selected companies will be required to pay the participation fee to join this mission.
Companies are responsible for all costs associated with travel, accommodations, and meals. Companies may apply to the Export Development Program (EDP) to help offset travel costs.
