Additional information

  • Hotel: We recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible. Hotel and Airbnb options will be limited in Bilbao with many people in the city for Enlit. We have secured a room block at the Hotel Puerta de Bilbao.
  • Flights: We will have an Air Canada code for you shortly (I believe the discount will be 10%). We recommend arriving in Bilbao on Sunday, November 16 and departing on Friday, November 21, 2025.
  • B2B Matchmaking Services: The B2B Matchmaking Consultant hired for this mission is the
    Gedeth Network.
  • Pavilion Space: A reminder that SGIN will not have a pavilion space on the trade floor at Enlit. However, the Government of Ontario will have a small pavilion that our delegation can use as a meeting point throughout the week.
  • Site Visits: On, Monday, November 17, 2025, we are planning an Innovation Tour. We met with the Basque Energy Cluster to discuss local tour options, and we are exploring tours to Tecnalia Smart Grid and distributed generation laboratory and the Global Smart Grids Innovation Hub. If there are other local sites that would be of interest, we can certainly reach out explore them as well.

This project is being supported by the Atlantic Trade and Investment Growth Strategy, a partnership between the Government of Canada and the four Atlantic provincial governments. The Atlantic Trade and Investment Growth Strategy is a collaborative, pan-Atlantic approach which aims to help Atlantic businesses begin exporting, increase their export sales, expand to new markets, and create global partnerships. The strategy was developed jointly by the provincial governments of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland & Labrador, and the Government of Canada.
