Maritime Launch Services Inc. (Cboe Canada: MAXQ; OTCQB: MAXQF) is a Canadian-owned space infrastructure company developing Spaceport Nova Scotia, Canada's first commercial orbital launch facility. Located on Nova Scotia's eastern shore, the spaceport is designed as a multi-user, dual-use launch complex serving commercial, civil, defence, and international space missions.
Operating under an airport-style model, Maritime Launch provides the licensed infrastructure, operational services, and launch capabilities required by multiple launch providers, eliminating the need for customers to build their own launch facilities. The site is uniquely positioned to support a broad range of orbital inclinations from a single location, serving rapidly growing demand for satellite deployment, Earth observation, communications, defence, and scientific missions.
With long-term commercial customers, strategic government support, and growing international interest, Maritime Launch is establishing Canada as a competitive participant in the global space economy while strengthening national technological sovereignty and attracting significant foreign direct investment.
Spaceport Nova Scotia is a nation-building infrastructure project that will provide Canada with its first sovereign commercial orbital launch capability. The facility is expected to support inaugural orbital launches in 2028 and serve as a critical gateway for commercial, government, defence, and allied space missions.
The project has already secured more than C$220 million in strategic capital commitments, including a C$200 million agreement with the Government of Canada, a C$10 million investment from MDA Space, and a C$10 million financing facility from Export Development Canada.
Major industry validation has also been achieved through anchor customer agreements with Germany's Isar Aerospace, which plans to establish its North American launch operations at the site and invest approximately US$100 million in dedicated launch infrastructure, as well as Canada's Department of National Defence and launch vehicle developer Reaction Dynamics.
The next phase of development includes critical transportation, electrical, digital, utility, launch, and security infrastructure required to support full operational readiness and commercial launch activity.
