Job Opportunity: Program Claims Coordinator (1 year-Term)

Reporting to the Manager, Compliance and Claims, the Program Claims Coordinator reviews and processes claims for Invest Nova Scotia programs. In this role, you will provide strong customer service by responding to client inquiries, following up in a timely manner, and reviewing claim packages efficiently to support quick processing times. You will pay close attention to detail to ensure all claims meet program requirements and align with incentive agreements.  

What You’ll Do

You will review and organize claim packages with strong attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is complete, consistent, and meets program requirements. You will respond to client inquiries with clear, accurate information and manage your daily work to meet claim timelines.

You will match agreements to submitted claims, verify receipts and proof of payment, and confirm eligibility under program guidelines. You will also work with clients to correct or complete claim forms when needed. In addition, you will enter and track claim data in the CRM system, prepare disbursement requests, and generate reports on agreements, deadlines, and payments. You will contribute to process improvements, participate in team discussions, and support other related tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will have a college diploma in accounting, commerce and or business combined with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in business environment.

You also bring:

  • Working knowledge of verifying proof of payment and interpreting bank or credit statements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce is an asset
  • External client service experience
  • Ability to manage and process high volumes of transactions
  • Strong attention to detail within an accounting‑focused environment
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

Classification:  This is a bargaining unit position with an Invest Nova Scotia 3 rate of pay: $45,388-$55,623 based on the March 31, 2024, collective agreement rates. Preference will be given to qualified Invest Nova Scotia NSGEU bargaining unit candidates.
