Job Opportunity: Marketing Advisor (Permanent)

As a Marketing Advisor, you'll drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation for Invest Nova Scotia's programs, services, and priority sectors. Working closely with teams across the organization, you'll develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that support business development across the province. Using a blend of strategy, digital marketing expertise, and performance analytics, you'll optimize campaigns across channels, nurture audiences through the marketing funnel, and continually improve results through data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Do

You'll work closely with colleagues and external partners to promote programs, events, workshops, and trade missions, helping drive participation and build meaningful connections. From planning campaigns to launching them and measuring results, you'll play an active role in bringing marketing initiatives to life. You'll contribute to newsletters, email campaigns, website content, and social media activities that strengthen brand and jurisdictional awareness and generate interest in Invest Nova Scotia's programs and services. You'll bring ideas to life, keep projects on track, and use what you learn from campaign results to make future efforts even better. You'll also work with a great network of partners and stakeholders to help grow our reach and impact across Nova Scotia and beyond.

What We're Looking For

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or communications combined with a minimum of three- five years of experience performing in a similar role.

You also bring:

  • Experience managing integrated digital marketing and lead generation initiatives across email, social media, content marketing, websites, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation, audience segmentation, lead nurturing, customer journey mapping, and campaign optimization using HubSpot or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO), landing page best practices, A/B testing, and using data and analytics to measure campaign performance, generate insights, and optimize marketing results across digital channels.
  • Proficiency with marketing, CRM and collaboration tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Drupal, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong writing, content creation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to create engaging marketing materials for different audiences.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for creating marketing initiatives that make a meaningful impact.
