Dr. Lidija Marušić, M.D., M.B.A., Ph.D., is the Vice President of Business Investment at Invest Nova Scotia. She manages the Nova Scotia First Fund, supporting innovative start-ups in the region. Lidija has extensive expertise in venture capital, technology commercialization, and corporate governance.
Lidija has played a significant role in building the organization's venture capital practice since 2006. She has previously worked at MDS Capital and MedInnova Partners, focusing on commercializing biomedical technologies. Lidija holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Zagreb, a Ph.D. in molecular genetics from the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Italy, and an M.B.A. from McMaster University in Ontario.
Lidija serves on various boards, including CVCA (Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association), Life Sciences Nova Scotia, and 3DBioFibR. She is also a board observer at Densitas and Oneka Technologies.
