Guangling Jiao, Ph.D., is an Investment Associate at Invest Nova Scotia, where she supports early-stage start-ups in the biotech, food innovation, and sustainable aquaculture and agriculture sectors.
With a strong scientific background and a decade of research in natural health products and bioprocessing, she helps founders translate innovative ideas into real-world industry solutions.
Before joining Invest Nova Scotia, Guangling led research, product development, marketing, and sales for a Nova Scotia-based biotech company. She holds a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Ocean University of China and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the National Research Council of Canada and the Coastal Zone Research Institute.
In her role as an Investment Associate, Guangling takes a hands-on approach to fostering the growth and success of local start-ups. She is passionate about driving innovation that strengthens communities and contributes to a more sustainable future.
