Carolyn Clegg is a Business Growth Executive at Invest Nova Scotia, where she works closely with entrepreneurs, post-secondary institutions, and sector partners to accelerate innovation and build stronger economic connections across the province. She leads the Productivity and Innovation Voucher Program and is the architect behind the DMAD initiative — a targeted program designed to help Nova Scotia companies build their marketing and sales capacity through access to creative professionals and strategic expertise.
With a background in marketing, design, and cultural leadership, Carolyn brings both strategic insight and hands-on experience to her work. Her deep understanding of Nova Scotia’s business and creative ecosystems allows her to connect the dots between ideas and impact — helping companies access the right tools, talent, and collaborations to grow.
Carolyn also serves on Invest Nova Scotia’s Accessibility Committee, where she brings lived experience and a systems-thinking lens to the work of building more inclusive and supportive environments across the organization.
As a practicing artist and Chair of Craft Nova Scotia, she is passionate about the role creativity plays in economic development. She’s also a strong advocate for inclusive, human-centered approaches to business support — shaped in part by her experience as a neurodivergent professional navigating complex systems with clarity and care.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find her exploring Nova Scotia’s coastal towns, crafting in her studio, or cheering on the bold ideas of the next generation of makers and entrepreneurs.
