MISSION FULL: Trade Mission to Oceanology International China 2017

NSBI, in partnership with ACOA and the Atlantic Provinces, is currently recruiting Nova Scotia ocean technology companies interested in participating as a co-exhibitor in the Canada Pavilion at Oceanology International China 2017 (OI China 2017).

OI China 2017 is the only forum in Asia where industry, academia and government share knowledge and connect with the international marine technology and ocean science communities. Last year the event featured almost 200 exhibiting companies from approximately 21 countries with almost 6,000 visitors and buyers in attendance.

As a co-exhibitor in the Canada Pavilion, each company will receive the following:

• Individual booth space within the pavilion that includes:
  • Information stand with locked storage space
  • 2 stools
  • Signage with company name/logo
  • Graphic panel behind information stand (Graphic to be provided by company.)
  • Access to private meeting space within the pavilion to host one-on-one meetings
  • Waste basket
  • Basic electricity
  • Wireless internet services
• Two show exhibitor badges
• Translation services during the tradeshow

VISA Information: A VISA is required when travelling to China. Please ensure you have a Chinese VISA prior to boarding your flight. This can take 2-3 weeks so it is important to secure this immediately. The deadline for submission is October 10, 2017.

Please complete and submit the following Invitation Letter for VISA Application as indicated. Should you require additional information on how to apply for a VISA, please refer to the China VISA Guidelines.

Co-exhibitor registration fee: $1,150.00 ($1,000.00 + $150.00 HST), per company. The HST will be added when you pay through PayPal.

Space is limited. Each company is responsible for all travel, accommodation*, and meals in market.

BONUS! Trade with Canada Event

An exclusive Trade with Canada event, with a focus on the strengths of Canada’s marine technology and services, will take place during OI China 2017 at the Huangdao East Asian Exhibition Center. This event will allow ocean technology companies get in front of potential Chinese companies looking to “Buy Canadian”, and pitch the capabilities of their company in a quick 3-minute elevator pitch.

November 1, 2017 | 2:00pm - 3:30pm

Potential Chinese companies, interested in what they have heard, will also be invited to the Canadian Pavilion at OI China 2017 to meet with your company. This is a great way to drive traffic to your stand at no additional cost to you.

Companies interested in participating will be required to submit their profiles and marketing materials for a printed catalogue, which will be distributed at the event.

BONUS! Add-on Mission to Qingdao, China | November 6 - 7, 2017

Following OI China 2017, there will be meetings and tours set up in conjunction with the Canadian High Commission in Qingdao, China. This add-on mission includes tours of universities, a morning pitch session, and one-on-one meetings with potential customers and partners.
